There were a couple cedar trees in the middle of the pile that we burned and cut down the bones of it when the fire was done.

Pretty busy week. We started this burn project. This customer has several piles to burn from clearing cedars and other trees to open up the wooded area to try and restore the land to something useful and enjoyable. It was so overgrown that you couldn’t walk through the property. One of the piles was 265’ long by 127’ wide. Everything is cleaning up nicely. We still got a lot to do up there but you can see a big difference in the open space now.

Today we wrapped up the back fill phase on this project. We dug the basement a few weeks ago before all the rain hit. They finally had some good weather to pour the walls. We back filled the basement and line the crawl space with rock. We called out Kansas Concrete placement for their conveyor truck to place all the rock in the basement and crawl space. We set up the power distribution rack as well. Next step is to get conduit to the rack from the pile once it has been set.

Today we replaced this hydrant with a new one. This customer had a dog run take flight and hit the hydrant. That combined with the rust caused it to leak when it was on. We replaced it with a new 4’ bury hydrant and put new rock around the drain and backfilled the hole.

Our next adventure was removing this tree. The base was rotted out and had several branches that were split or damaged. It was only a matter of time before this one would have come down on one of the houses.

Got the new attachment out today. We power raked this driveway and smoothed all the potholes out. Turned out pretty good.

Busy few days lately dodging rain drops. We managed to get some projects done. Today we took advantage of Sunday funday and finished up this basement dig. This customer wanted a walk out basement, so we gave them one. We moved a lot of dirt on this project in a short time. Thanks to Glacial Plains Land Services - Gravel Driveways & Site Prep for teaming up on this one.

Next up for this one, we will be building a retaining wall when the foundation is poured and the septic system.

You might remember this one. We buried all the utilities for the shop on this one a few weeks ago. Yesterday we hauled in some dirt since it was finally dry enough to and today we graded the yard out. This yard had a lot of clay, so we power raked the yard, graded it out and raked it again. Now it’s ready for grass seed.
