ICYMI... I also authenticate many aviation autographs, including Enola Gay crew members. How do you think this one would fare? 😼

ProTip: Neil Armstrong would be a full letter of authenticity from PSA due to its value. It would NOT be a small "card COA" and sticker only. This is a fake autograph with a counterfeit PSA sticker and card.

The scammers create a counterfeit sticker and match the number to a similar item in the PSA database. So, if you look it up, it appears legit. Caveat emptor!

The seller may not be aware, but they are also offering a Michael Jordan signed jersey with a similar PSA card/sticker certification. Like Armstrong, Jordan would always be a full letter.

Photo dump of clunkers that crossed the authentication desk. 👎🏻👎🏻

Over the past few years, eBay sports autograph dealers have entered the space autograph field in a big way. I believe they see space as “untapped growth potential.” That is, they can squeeze a few bucks out of it by cutting up books… slabbing cut signatures and milking free through-the-mail signers.

Here is a prime offering from an eBay sports dealer. A cut signature from an Alan Shepard signed book framed with a photo of James Lovell. 🤦🏼‍♂️
