Discover a scenic way to cross the Mississippi River with the Cassville Ferry. This historic ferry travels between Cassville on the Wisconsin Great River Road and Millville on the Iowa Great River Road and is open to pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, and motorists from May through October (river conditions permitting).

𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙁𝙪𝙣 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙮!

Long before highways and bridges connected our communities, the Cassville Car Ferry was a vital link that helped businesses thrive on both sides of the Mississippi River.

For years, Iowa farmers relied on the ferry to transport fresh produce across the river to Cassville's canning factory. At its peak, the factory grew into Wisconsin's largest corn canning plant, creating jobs and helping shape the community we know today.

It's amazing to think that a simple ferry crossing played such an important role in Cassville's history.
