Thankfully the forecast is looking much warmer than the first 2026 Baltimore City Department of Public Works community shred event in March so Donnie and Aaron can finally lose the puffy coats! We'll be there providing the same great free document shredding for area residents, with all sunshine and none of the frostbite 🌞

Earlier this week we held our 2nd Annual Muffins & Milestones breakfast, and for the first time, we celebrated right here at our new headquarters in South Baltimore.

We honored two outstanding members of the BWS team, Josh and Kevin, who each reached their 5-year anniversary with us this year. 5 years of showing up, working hard, and being part of what makes this company great.

In an industry that demands reliability, consistency, and care, people who bring those qualities to work every single day are the backbone of what we do. Josh and Kevin exemplify that, and we wanted to make sure they knew it. We believe that the people behind the work are just as important as the work itself. Each received a personalized framed "Waste Warrior" certificate and a custom milestone pin at a drop-in breakfast with teammates.

(Side note: Trey may or may not be standing on his tippy toes next to Josh! Vertical challenges aside, the man has heart, and that counts for a lot around here.)

50 years in business has taught us a lot, but the most important lesson is great companies are built by great people, one year at a time. Congratulations, Josh and Kevin. The whole BWS family is proud to have you.

June is National Safety Month, and safety isn't just something we talk about - it's the reason BWS exists.

For more than 50 years, we've helped healthcare facilities, dental offices, labs, and businesses across the Mid-Atlantic properly manage medical waste, sharps, and hazardous materials - keeping workers, patients, and communities safe every single day.

We're proud to have been an MSDA MARPAC sponsor and participant in all 5 years of this incredible event, and the 5th Annual did not disappoint! This year, Team BWS hit the course at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, MD with Trey, Matt, Danielle, and a very exciting newcomer - Hunter from our Hazardous Waste Division, making his MARPAC Classic debut.

Trey was in his natural habitat. Matt came thiiiis close to a hole in one. Danielle showed up with full enthusiasm regardless of the score. Hunter earned his spot on the BWS team for next year. Our Cart Captain koozies made it to every hole - "Proudly keeping our communities cleaner than your scorecard" never felt more appropriate.
