If the office copy of your NCR form keeps coming back faint, the form is usually not the problem. The pen is.

Carbonless copies are made by pressure. A ballpoint pen on a hard surface pushes through every part. Carbonless forms can go bad on the shelf, and most shops find out when a copy comes through blank.

The coating that makes the copies is sensitive to heat, humidity, and sunlight. A box stored in a hot truck all summer or next to a sunny window can lose some of its transfer before anybody writes on it. Keep carbonless stock cool, dry, flat, and in its box, and use the oldest sets first. When it is time to reorder, we keep your layout on file so the new sets match the old ones exactly.

Hanging a red tag on a unit is one of the few things a technician does that carries real liability.

It says this equipment is out of service, it says who made that call, and it says when. Six months
later, that tag is the record. A tag that faded, tore off the wire, or never had a place to write
the date is not a record at all.

Most people who switch printers assume they have to start the form over. They do not.

Send us a sample, a scan, or a photograph of the form you use now. We will rebuild it to match,
down to the field positions your crew already knows by muscle memory, and keep the file on record
so every reorder is identical. Your techs never notice the change, which is the entire point.

A tow bill gets written on the shoulder of a road, in the dark, usually in weather.

That is a hard place to keep paperwork straight, and it is exactly where a dispute starts. A proper
towing invoice has the fields already there: vehicle, VIN, mileage, hookup, storage days, release
signature. The driver fills blanks instead of remembering what to write down, the customer signs on
