I am pleased to announce that Keith A. Walmsley will be joining me in supporting my government relations efforts in Annapolis.
I am thrilled to be able to harness Keith’s advice, expertise and broad experience as well as his unique understanding of the inner workings of Maryland government. His relationships are second to none and will be a great resource for our efforts going forward. He will be a value add to what we will be able to accomplish on behalf of all CDi Consulting clients.
Keith, now Principal of public policy consultancy, Walmsley Strategies, had spent the past fifteen years as a trusted advisor to Chairman Anne Kaiser. He has worked with House leadership on many levels, heading up the Office of The Majority Leader, working for the Whip and for a decade acting as principal policy writer for the Chair of the Education Subcommittee. His policy expertise extends to gaming law, business development, state revenue policy and K-12 education.
Keith is known for his no nonsense approach to some of the most complex legislative and regulatory issues facing the State, whether that is devising complex revenue solutions, working to empower the States special education system, or seeking to strengthen workforce development efforts and bolster Maryland’s employers; he has focused his efforts on helping to maintain an economic environment that favors, growth, equity, and access.
Immediately prior to leading Walmsley Strategies, Keith spent a year and a half as a Special Appointment to the Executive branch helping to oversee the policy needs of an at-risk population. He has served on many boards and commissions over the years.
