Although, if you know Tim, you know he never actually left. 😂

While everyone is sharing those first-day-of-school pictures, we couldn’t let Tim miss out on the fun!

He started Tim’s Automotive & Towing on August 8, 1987, and 14,268 days later, he’s still showing up, working hard and keeping things moving. 💙💛

No backpack or lunchbox required… although after 39 years, we think he’s earned a few extra recesses! 😂

🇺🇸 Proud to Support the 15th Annual 9/11 Patriot Day Ride. 🇺🇸

Tim’s Automotive & Towing is honored to once again sponsor the The Hope & Peace Foundation 15th Annual 9/11 Patriot Day Ride on Saturday, September 12th.

The ride will begin at the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department and conclude at McAvoys in Parkville, MD. As the procession makes its way into our area, riders will travel along Harford Road to Putty Hill Avenue. We encourage our community to come out, wave a flag and show your support as they pass. 🇺🇸

This powerful event honors and remembers the 2,987 lives lost on September 11, 2001, as well as the more than 8,500 American heroes lost in the Global War on Terrorism since 9/11.

We are proud to stand behind the Hope & Peace Foundation and the important work they continue to do to ensure that we never forget.

We’re growing our team and looking for motivated, dependable people who are interested in building a career in the automotive industry.

The next position is for a ENTRY-LEVEL, HEAVY-DUTY TECHNICIAN HELPER, this is a full-time position: This is a hands-on, entry-level developmental position designed for an individual who has an interest in the heavy-duty automotive industry, a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to build a long-term career as a heavy-duty technician.

In addition to assisting our heavy-duty technician with repairs and maintenance tasks, this position is also responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and clear work environment around the heavy-duty technician at all times to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted repair operations.

Some previous hands-on experience with oil changes, tire services, or basic vehicle maintenance is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates dependability, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

The first position is for a GENERAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN, this is a full-time position: The Entry-Level, General Service Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and basic automotive services while developing the technical skills necessary to advance within Tim’s Automotive.

This is a hands-on, developmental position designed for an individual who has an interest in the automotive industry, a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to build a long-term career as an automotive technician.

The technician will work under the direction of the Service Manager and receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced technicians, the Shop Foreman, and Team Leads.

We offer opportunities for training, mentorship, career growth, and advancement within Tim’s Automotive.

Today is a bittersweet day at TIMS AUTOMOTIVE & TOWING as we wish Tyler Campbell all the best on his last day with our team!

Tyler first joined Tim’s as a student intern in April 2025 while completing the Diesel Truck & Power Systems program at Sollers Point Technical High School. After graduating from Sparrows Point High School this past June, he joined us full-time as a General Technician, working alongside John Ritter, one of our Heavy-Duty Technicians.

From day one, Tyler has been a wonderful addition to our team. He has always been willing to learn, eager to take on a new challenge, and proud of the work he does. His work ethic, positive attitude, and drive to keep growing have made an impression on all of us.

And Tyler certainly isn’t slowing down! While working with us, he has also been serving with the North Point Fire Department and recently passed his EMT testing. He’ll now be taking the next step in his career as an EMT with ProCare of Maryland.

Tyler, we are proud of everything you’ve accomplished and grateful that Tim’s could be a part of your journey. We know you have a bright future ahead of you, and we wish you nothing but success in this next chapter. Congratulations, Tyler — and don’t be a stranger! 🚑👏
