Bandera Electric Cooperative is proud to share the exciting news that two of our linemen, Zach and Taylor, have successfully earned their Department of Labor Certifications, marking the completion of their apprenticeship programs! 👏⚡

This accomplishment is no small feat! It represents years of hands-on training, classroom instruction, long days in the field, and plenty of hard work and dedication. Throughout their apprenticeships, Taylor and Zach have continued to build the knowledge and skills needed to safely and reliably serve our members and communities.

We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and everything they’ve accomplished along the way. We’re excited to see them take this next step in their careers at BEC! 💙⚡

👏 Help us congratulate Zach and Taylor on this well-earned achievement! Way to go, guys!

❤️ 22 Units Collected. 66 Lives Impacted!

Bandera Electric Cooperative’s August 18 Community Blood Drive was a success! In coordination with the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, BEC employees and members came together to help meet the ongoing need for blood in our community.
Thanks to our generous donors, we exceeded our goal of 18 units, collecting 22 units with the potential to impact up to 66 lives!

The impact of community blood drives goes far beyond the day itself. As Michael Wanjura with the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center shared:

“Community blood drives are extremely important because they bring the opportunity to donate directly to where people live, work, worship and gather.”

A BIG thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped make a difference. That’s Concern for Community in action! ❤️
