This particular digital dataset was recently given to us so that we can update the town's tax maps. The pictures show two examples of how the parcels were way off, not lining up with the roads nor the water boundary. It would have be easy enough to do the updates, print off a new set of maps, bill the client and be done with the project, but that's not our nature. We took the extra time (at cost) to correct the parcels to match the aerial photography, thus minimizing the compounding errors that can occur when working with subpar data. We put a stop to GIGO ("garbage in, garbage out") here at LatLong Logic!
