This morning I came across this verse and (oh my goodness)...what an AMAZING reminder for all of us:

"Listen carefully to what I am saying-and be wary of the shrewd advice that tells, you how to get ahead in the world on your own. Giving, not getting is the way." ~Mark 4:24

I don't know about you, but I am constantly bombarded with messages that speak to building my business, making money, becoming a millionaire, etc. I see them ALL. THE. TIME. Just yesterday I saw a post with someone saying how you can make 8 million dollars in 8 seconds!

And I'll admit, it can be SO easy to fall prey to all of these messages. But I LOVE how Jesus says that we have to be wary of the shrewd advice that basically tells us, by the world's standards, how to get ahead, which is by doing it all on your own and focusing on the getting.

Is it no wonder so many Entrepreneurs today are stressed and not seeing success? It's because too many of us are basing it on the world's standard, the world's advice, when all along, Jesus is calling us to . We are following the advice of people who don't do it Jesus' way and it's leaving us broke, in debt, and weary.

Friends, be careful from whom you choose to take advice, to whom you choose to listen.

First and foremost, seek God.

He's got all the answers you need.
He's got all the advice you need. He's got the marketing strategy that you need.

Seek Him BEFORE you seek out the worldly advice of others.

And if He sees fit, He will lead you to someone who follows Him, who can help guide you too!

Have you ever chuckled as you watched a toddler pouring water into a pail with a hole in the bottom? How silly is that?

Yet…if you are spending your hard earned money on vitamins, nutritional supplements, gym memberships, and organic food while continuing to use toxic chemical laden personal care and cleaning products every day, you are not too different from the silly toddler.

As I began learning about the impact chemical toxins were having on my health several years ago, I realized that most of the personal care products in my home were creating hormonal havoc and undoing much of the good I was doing with unprocessed food, pure water and targeted nutritional supplements.

The day I realized that aluminum in my antiperspirant, fluoride in my toothpaste and the chemistry lab full of unpronounceable and "known-to-be-cancer-causing" chemicals in my laundry detergent, shampoo and other cleaning products were being absorbed through my skin was the day I began looking for alternatives.

The day I found a company that offered a line of truly "green" personal care and cleaning products was the day I began to replace the old toxic products with health supporting ones.

If it's not safe enough eat, it's not safe enough to put on your skin!

These “toys” are mainly data collection tools to collect as much information on your children as possible, including their location.

It is a dream scenario for child traffickers.

Jesus said,

The prophet Jeremiah wrote that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.

It’s often said that the heart wants what the heart wants.

Only God can give me a heart that wants what He wants...

As I spend more time in the Word of God,
I am increasingly convicted of my sinfulness...
My failure to measure up...
My need for a savior.

The closer I draw to Him in His ultimate holiness, the more I echo Isaiah’s words, “woe unto me, for I am undone...”

I used to view the Apostle Paul’s statement that he considered himself to be “the chief of sinners” to be perhaps “false humility.”

Now, I am beginning to understand—not that I’m anywhere close to the spiritual equal of Paul—that the longer and deeper I go into the faith, the more precious my salvation becomes and the more I realize how badly I need a savior.

“Oh, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be.
Bind my heart, Lord,
Like a fetter,
Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee...”
