If you already know which process is costing you the most hours, you do not need a full diagnostic. You need a scope call.

30 minutes. We listen to the problem. We tell you whether it is a one-week fix, a one-month project, or something deeper. No pitch deck. No discovery phase that turns into three months of slides.

Manufacturers come to us for straight answers. That is the whole product.

Comment SCOPE and we will share the booking link.

Here is a pattern we see across growth-stage shops.

Production data is handwritten on the floor, keyed into a spreadsheet at the end of each shift, and re-keyed into the ERP the next morning. Three touches. One source of truth, in theory. None of those three steps is the original system's fault. The gap is the duplication on the perimeter.

The fix is rarely complicated. Connect the floor to the ERP directly. One entry, validated at the source, visible everywhere it needs to be.

When that integration lands, reporting that used to consume real time stops being a job. Operators do not learn new software. The team gets back hours they were quietly losing every week.

Small scope. Real work. No fanfare.

Your ERP was supposed to be the source of truth. Here are three signs the gap is not in the ERP itself, but on the perimeter.

One. Your team runs parallel spreadsheets to trust the numbers.
Two. Month-end close still takes a full week of manual reconciliation.
Three. The shop floor writes on paper first, then someone keys it in later.

None of these mean you need a new ERP. They usually mean the ERP is fine and the gap is between the ERP and the floor.

That gap is where we work. Connect what you already own before you replace it.

Here is the window.

June and the first week of July is when most manufacturers still have enough bandwidth to actually improve something before Q3 production targets land. Wait until late July and you are fighting vacation schedules. Wait until September and Q3 is over.

Our shop-floor gap diagnostic is a structured look at where your data is leaking, where your people are doing work the system should be doing, and which single fix would give you the fastest return.

No big roadmap. One process. One measurable win before Q3 hits its stride.

Comment DIAGNOSTIC and we will send the next step.

Walk any shop floor long enough and you see it.

The press is running. The CNC is running. The line is moving.

Where things actually stall is between systems. The ERP that does not talk to the MES. The MES that does not talk to scheduling. Scheduling that lives on a supervisor's laptop and does not talk to anyone.

That is where hours disappear every week.

Before you buy another machine, map where information slows down between systems. The cheapest capacity you will ever find is the capacity you already paid for.

Most manufacturers audit their books at year-end.
Very few audit their systems at mid-year.

That is a mistake.

By June, you have five months of real data on what your software is actually doing for you and what it is not. You can see which reports never get opened. Which integrations broke quietly in February. Which workflows your team has been working around for months because the system stopped serving them and nobody had time to escalate.

A mid-year systems pass in June gives you the rest of the year to fix what matters. A year-end audit just gives you a list of resolutions.

Know which one you are running.

Last working Friday of May.

If you have been meaning to get a straight read on a project, a system, or a vendor, this is the week to do it. June fills up fast on our side and on yours.

30-minute scope call. You describe the problem. We tell you, in plain language, whether we can help, how long it takes, and the rough shape of the investment. No pressure to move forward.

Manufacturers tell us all the time that they wish they had called us three months earlier. Today is three months earlier for something else.

Message SCOPE to lock in a time.

Hiring a full-time CTO for a mid-sized manufacturer is hard, expensive, and often the wrong move.

Most of the year, you need someone who can decide whether that vendor pitch is real, whether that integration proposal is priced correctly, and whether that custom build is worth it. A few months of the year, you need someone who can run a real project end to end.

That is the CTO on demand relationship. Strategic when you need strategy. Hands-on when you need ex*****on. Quiet the rest of the time.

It is how a lot of growth-stage manufacturers get enterprise-grade decisions without carrying enterprise-grade payroll.

Today is about the men and women who served and did not come home.

We build software for American manufacturers. Every day we walk into shops where craftsmanship still means something, where people take pride in what they make, where the work is real and the standards are high.

That culture was defended by the people we honor today.

From everyone at HamDevCo, thank you to the families who carry the weight of that service. We will never take it for granted, and we will keep building for the American shops that keep making things.

We meet a lot of manufacturers convinced they need to replace everything.

Usually, they do not.

The 15-year-old system on the floor is still running because it works. The people who run it know it inside out. The process it supports is mature. Ripping it out means retraining, downtime, and a year of finding edge cases nobody documented.

The real work is usually narrower. Wrap the legacy system with a modern layer that captures the data you are missing, connects it to the ERP, and leaves the stable part alone.

Legacy is not the enemy. Legacy plus blind spots is.
