Last Night, Barnwell City was dispatched to the Winton Inn Hotel for a report of a structure fire! Barnwell fire personnel responded and arrived on scene with nothing showing from the exterior of the building, went in for investigation mode. After investigating, fire personnel found one of the rooms was on fire and the fire had been partially extinguished. Fire personnel used several water cans to fully extinguish the fire. Fire was then determined out and fire units cleared scene and back to quarters. Special thanks to Barnwell Rural Fire Department (Station 11) and Snelling’s Fire Department (Station 6) for responding and helping!

Early this morning, 04/07/2026, Barnwell City FD was dispatched for mutual aid to Bamberg County for a working Commercial Fire, requesting Truck 1 for aerial support! Truck 1 and a few members responded to Bamberg Co. and help assist with extinguishment! Barnwell City FD is proud to serve not only our City, but for the surrounding Departments as well!
