TIP OF THE WEEK FOR FUTURE IDD PROVIDERS

If you are planning to become a licensed and credentialed IDD provider and receive Medicaid payments, one of the FIRST things you must secure is a physical business address.

Why? The NPI application requires a practice location/physical address where services are rendered — not just a mailing address.

No NPI = No Medicaid enrollment.
No Medicaid enrollment = No Medicaid payments.

Many start-up providers focus on policies and paperwork first, but your business infrastructure matters too. Make sure your business address, EIN, and organizational setup are established early in the process to avoid delays in credentialing and reimbursement.

Preparation prevents delays. Compliance creates opportunity.

Today I had a potential client tell me something that made me smile. I asked him how he found me and he told me he found me through ChatGPT!

When he asked ChatGPT who could help him become a licensed provider, Sherry Taylor of Professional Advancement Services was the first name that came up. That moment reminded me why I do this work.

At PAS, we help our clients navigate the complex process of becoming licensed and credentialed providers of residential and community-based services for individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and those with mental health needs.
