In-situ remediation treats contamination right where it sits, without excavating or removing soil. Using techniques like chemical oxidation and enhanced bioremediation, contaminants are broken down underground, reducing cost, disruption, and project timelines.

A-C-T's remediation team evaluates each site to determine the most effective approach, whether in-situ, ex-situ, or a combination of proven technologies.

This week is International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week. Lead exposure remains one of the most preventable environmental health risks, especially in buildings constructed before 1978.

A-C-T's environmental and occupational health teams help businesses identify, assess, and remediate lead hazards in facilities across Florida. Detection is the first step. Prevention is the goal.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the Orionid meteor shower peaks. These meteors are debris from Halley's Comet, burning up in our atmosphere at 41 miles per second.

The Moon will be bright this year, so expect to see 10-20 meteors per hour in the pre-dawn hours. Face east, let your eyes adjust, and enjoy one of autumn's most reliable sky shows.

Leadership that extends beyond the workplace!

We're incredibly proud of our President, Jeff Kincart, for his service as a member of Florida Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 8, which recently returned home following deployment to assist communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias.

Jeff's willingness to step forward and serve others in times of need reflects the same dedication, leadership and commitment to community that he brings to A-C-T every day.

Please join us in thanking Jeff and all the members of Task Force 8 for their service and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

Welcome home, and job well done!

Every phone, cable, battery, and gadget you throw away ends up somewhere. Today is International E-Waste Day, and this year's focus is "fast tech": the small, inexpensive electronics we barely think about but that pile up in landfills by the billions.

Many of these devices contain lithium-ion batteries and hazardous materials that pose real risks when not disposed of properly. Responsible waste management isn't just good practice. It protects people and the environment.
