It’s almost time for my annual winter excursion to South Florida.

Are any of you in the Roaring Fork Valley going to Costco/Denver/Vail - Eagle on Friday, November 15 in the morning, who can give me a lift to Eagle Airport? I’ll contribute for gas.

It’s only 45 minutes from Carbondale and you can dump me off at the airport a mile from Costco or minutes from Eagle/Edwards on your way.

VOLUNTEERS GREATLY NEEDED!!

I'm always amazed at how many people stand in a line of hundreds, most of the time outside in the cold, sometimes in snow, rain, or icy conditions, waiting to get into the Aspen Ski Swap, then whine to me, "they're cold or don't like waiting." There is a simple solution for that.

It's called volunteering!!

The 69th Annual Aspen Ski Swap, the valley's oldest and largest, will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Aspen Middle School.

Volunteers are greatly needed on Friday, October 18, for equipment check-in (3 - 6 pm) and ALL DAY Saturday. Two shifts available on Saturday: 8:30 am - 1 pm and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

All volunteers get EARLY BIRD Family shopping on Saturday BEFORE the general public, plus FREE meals.

Your assistance and support of the Aspen Schools experiential education program and innovative teacher grants is so greatly appreciated.

To my many friends, family, and followers, who so loyally supported my efforts on America's Favorite Photo competition, I want to THANK YOU for your dedication in voting for my photo each day for a month.

Through the early rounds my picture was in first, second, and third for the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and into the Finals.

Then the big money players took over, but it was an exciting ride.

ALL volunteers get EARLY BIRD SHOPPING and meals on Saturday (regardless which day you volunteer).

Avoid the crowds, lines, and cold, get first choice of the goodies, and help a great cause.

Today's the last day of voting in the semi-final round. I'm currently in 6th place and only the top 20 move into the Finals.

Here's my commitment: If I win the August - September competition, I will donate $1,000.00 to Miami and Roaring Fork Valley non-profits to support their philanthropic efforts.
