61 hours of overtime worked. 183 traffic stops.

Thanks in part to a TXDOT grant, our department will be participating in OPERATION SLOWDOWN. This will take place July 18th - August 2nd, 2026.

Speeding is the leading factor in deadly crashes, accounting for roughly one-third of all traffic fatalities statewide. In 2025, speeding played a role in more than 150,000 traffic crashes in Texas, resulting in 1,247 fatalities and 5,652 serious injuries.

Speeding increases the distance you'll need to stop to avoid a crash and increases the risk that a crash will result in severe injuries or death.
