The specs for short iron is. 3 foot by 18 inches or less. Needs to be at least as thick as a lawnmower blade. Nothing sealed or oil containing. Shocks, drive shafts, hydraulic cylinders and torque converters have to have a hole in them. This is the mills specs. Thank you and have a good day.

Today is a day of remembrance. Let us not forget. While today has become about cookouts, a lake day or any of that stuff that has become synonymous with Memorial Day. But today is a day of reflection and thankfulness for all those that have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy the things we do on days like today. Happy Memorial Day from all of us at Walker Recycling. Buy a veteran or service member a meal today or just a simple handshake and tell them thank you.

We have had an issue of late of plastic ride on toys, old vacuum cleaners and things of that sort being mixed in with loads of scrap. We buy METAL only products. When unloading we will gladly reload these items if found back on your trailer or truck for you.

We do not buy plastic, wood, concrete or anything other than METAL. We appreciate you helping us and being more mindful when you are loading up your scrap. It will save us and you time at the pile.

We are currently looking for a dock hand. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Hours are 8-5 Monday-Thursday, occasional Friday but not often. Bonuses, paid holiday and vacation time. Pay will be discussed at interview.

Walker Recycling is looking for a Class A CDL driver. Driver will operate an end dump scrap trailer as well as a roll off container truck. Must meet DOT requirements as well as pass drug test and background check and a clean MVR. Come by the office at 2250 N Saint Louis, Batesville AR and pick up an application packet and return to office. No phone calls. Must apply in person, ask to see Jeremy, James or Lesley. Job will remain open until filled.

When it's storming our machines will be shut down. Wind and lightning are dangerous in a scrap yard. We won't let anyone down on the yard during storms either. It's to keep us and you safe. Thank you for understanding.
