True performance happens when everyone follows the standards and procedures you have established. First, agree on the procedures. Then execute. When everyone executes doing it their own way, creates confusion, delays, short term fixes, but long term problems. Focus on establishing procedures, processes and adhering to them.

When you see poor performance, resist the urge to dive in and do the work yourself. When you do this, you will create more problems than what you solve. Sure you will create immediate results, but you will have short term and long term continual failures. And your team will learn they don’t have to perform. You’ll do it for them.
