Louisiana will soon see a phosphate fertilizer plant coming just outside of New Orleans. It is the first one in the U.S. in over four decades and will take two years to build.

Louisiana will also soon see an ammonium plant.

CF Industries is working on Project Blue Point and it will host the largest ammonium plant in the world. The nearly $4 billion dollar venture will be in Modeste, Louisiana. CF is joined in this by Japan's JERA Co. and Mitsui & Co.

The construction process is underway and the production target date is in 2029.

Forty years ago, Scottsdale, Arizona, passed a fire sprinkler ordinance requiring all new homes to be protected with home fire sprinklers—a milestone that has helped save lives and reduce fire damage for decades.
