WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO GET YOUR CAR?? IF YOUR VEHICLE WAS TOWED FOR NO INSURANCE:
You will have

to call the Department of Motor Vehicles: 225-925-6146
Provide them with Proof of Insurance
Request an Authorization of Release to be sent to Roadrunner. IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS A STATE or CITY POLICE HOLD:
You will have to contact them to have the hold lifted
Get them to fax us a release form stating the hold has been removed from your vehicle. Not taking care of this will result in you not being able to retrieve your car from impound until this matter is taken care of. ALL YOU NEED is a picture ID of some form, proof of ownership of said vehicle, and a form of payment. Cash, Credit Card, etc. If the vehicle is not registered in your name, you will need a note from the owner and a photo copy of their Drivers License. Without this you will not be able to have the hold removed. Now if none of the above pertains to you, ALL YOU NEED IS A PICTURE ID of some form, PROOF OF OWNERSHIP OF SAID VEHICLE, along with a form of payment. Cash, Credit Card, etc.

“SAYING THIS LOUDER: It’s not the number of accidents we have. It’s not because we drive more expensive cars or that they cost more to repair in Louisiana than other states. When we have an auto accident in Louisiana we CLAIM WE ARE INJURED MORE THAN TWICE THE NATIONAL AVERAGE AND WE LITIGATE-SUE-MORE THAN 3 TIMES the national average. That cost our insurance companies to spend more on claims and that causes higher premiums.”
