Welcome back to August’s Employee Spotlight! We’re excited to recognize Andrew Kunkel, one of GRSA’s CAD Designers.

Andrew has an associate degree in Engineering Design Graphics from San Jacinto Community College. Today, he builds on that foundation by supporting our clients through creating accurate isometric drawings, incorporating red-line revisions, and assisting with P&ID circuitization efforts.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys cooking and playing music. He enjoys rock or anything featuring a guitar. Over the years, he has collected more than 20 instruments!! 🎸🎷

We’re excited to spotlight one of our longtime team members: GRSA’s Mechanical Integrity Engineer, Casey Guitreau!

Casey joined GRSA back in 2016 as an intern and is now celebrating 10 years with the company. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from LSU.

In his role supporting ExxonMobil’s Clean Gasoline Operations team, he focuses on API-510 and API-570 inspection compliance, turnaround support, failure analysis and repairs, and fixed equipment end-of-life reviews.

Over the years Casey has been most proud of delivering high-quality projects for clients, building strong relationships, and helping others develop their mechanical integrity skills. He really appreciates GRSA’s family-like culture that puts God and family first.

Congratulations to the GRSA team on an incredible Engineering Softball Classic championship run!

Our team finished the tournament 5-0, capping it off with a 24-18 victory in the championship game after dominating performances all day.

We’re proud of the teamwork and dedication our employees displayed on and off the field while supporting a great cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success in benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

As June comes to a close, we're recognizing one of our Corrosion Engineers, Jason Pugh!

Since joining GRSA in early 2023, Jason has played a key role in supporting our Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program implementations, specializing in damage mechanism (DM) assessments. He has also earned his API 571 and API 580 certifications, further strengthening his expertise in corrosion and inspection.

Jason earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois and has built experience as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer, an onsite Corrosion Engineer at a petroleum refinery, and in the natural gas pipeline industry with a focus on cathodic protection.

When asked what advice he'd give to those entering the field, Jason shared:

"Never stop learning. Treat every project as a chance to get better. Never pass up the mentorships and resources available to you—they won't always be there."

Outside of work, Jason enjoys running and coding. He's currently exploring AI to build new applications while balancing life as a proud new father. His long-term goal is to earn his PE license.
