Not every project that leaves our shop involves automation.

Long before Mannetron became known for interactives, simulators, and custom machinery, we built our reputation manufacturing mannequins and other molded products. We still continue that work today, producing large-scale custom castings on our in-house rotational casting machines.

One fun example was this series of 6-foot-tall gummy bear sculptures created for a national candy retailer — and candy lovers may recognize them!

From mold making and rotational casting to finishing and paint, the bears were produced entirely in-house by our team.

Projects like this show how versatile rotational casting can be for creating durable, lightweight, large-format pieces that would be difficult or expensive to produce through traditional fabrication methods.

Whether it’s public art, themed environments, architectural features, retail displays, collectibles, or specialty products, we’re always interested in unique challenges.

If you’re developing a custom product that can’t be built off the shelf, we’d love to talk.

Take a look through the photos to see some of the process behind bringing these oversized gummy bears to life.

We’re excited to officially bring these motion platform simulators back into active deployment through Mannetron.

These systems have quite a history behind them, having previously been used in large-scale experiential activations across North America and Asia through our longtime partners including EWI and Imagination.

Now they’re ready for their next chapter supporting immersive exhibits, VR experiences, touring activations, museums, branded environments, and more.

It’s been really rewarding to see these platforms come back to life, and we’re excited to see what new experiences they help create next.

We’re excited to share a recent project completed with Spaces to Experiences LLC for the newly reopened Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center at Waterloo Recreation Area in Chelsea, Michigan.

S2E brought us in to help create several interactive and scenic elements throughout the exhibit space, including the programming and control systems for a laser-guided trail map experience that highlights park features as visitors explore content on a touchscreen interface.

One of the highlights for our team was creating the large-scale tree installations surrounding the central exhibit. Using a combination of life casting, sculpting, fabrication, and scenic finishing, we recreated the bark, branches, and foliage of native Michigan tree species. The finished pieces were designed not only to look realistic, but to stand up to years of daily public interaction, including school groups and field trips.

Huge thanks to Spaces to Experiences for the collaboration, and congratulations to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources on the reopening of such a beautifully updated visitor center.

This was a really fun project to be part of.

The best interactive exhibits feel simple.

You do something, and something happens. No instructions needed.

But there’s always more going on behind the scenes—especially when the goal is to create something that grabs attention and feels intuitive right away.

A few years back, we worked with Imagination, an experiential design agency, on an interactive exhibit for Ford’s auto show circuit. Visitors could control a driving game by shifting their balance on a circular platform.

Our role was building the system behind that interaction—translating movement into control, adding LED feedback so users could see their input in real time, and making sure everything responded instantly and held up through thousands of users across multiple shows.

If any part of that isn’t right, the experience breaks. It feels laggy, unpredictable, or just frustrating.

The goal isn’t just to make something that works—it’s to make something that feels right immediately.

That’s the kind of challenge we enjoy solving.

In partnership with ASX, Mannetron developed an omni-directional, four-wheel drive "skateboard" ground vehicle — purpose-built to work seamlessly with ASX's Sigma-6 tilt-wing eVTOL aircraft.

The battery-powered platform is capable of lifting up to 2,000 lbs, features 360-degree rotation and self-leveling technology, and can be operated via remote or autonomous controls. It's designed to be as flexible as the environments it serves.

The broader Sigma-6 system targets a wide range of industries — cargo, mail, agriculture, defense, firefighting, first response, and passenger transport. At the heart of it all is a plug-and-play philosophy: interchangeable payload pods and batteries that move efficiently through closed-circuit environments like airports, factories, medical facilities, and distribution centers.

Less downtime. Smoother operations. Ready for what's next.

Mannetron is proud to have partnered with EWI Worldwide to assist in bringing the Subaru “Wilderness Theater” to life — an immersive auto show installation designed to transport visitors beyond the showroom and into the rugged natural environments where Subaru vehicles thrive.

Our role was to engineer and fabricate the custom automation systems that power two turntables seamlessly integrated into a floor-wide LED display, as well as a massive video wall curtain system engineered to part smoothly and close without visible seams.

The result is a fluid, transformative environment that merges precision automation with immersive digital scenery. Rather than simply displaying vehicles, the Wilderness Theater creates a dynamic experience that captures the adventurous spirit of the Subaru brand.

We're honored to contribute to projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in experiential marketing.

For over thirty years, Mannetron has been building Rotational Casting Machines to exacting technical standards.

Rotational casting is ideal for creating hollow, durable parts using less material—resulting in lighter, more cost-effective components that are cheaper to produce and easier to ship.

Our industrial-grade machines feature a dual-axis rotation with independent control over speed and direction, allowing for precise, uniform coating with various materials like polyurethane, epoxy, and plaster. These machines are ideal for short and medium-run projects, and lead the market in durability and longevity.

From our staple 2'x2', 3'x4' and 6'x6' machines, to custom oversize and computerized units, safety, endurance, and quality are our keywords.

The Bronco Mountain: Built for the circuit. Engineered for impact.

After several years of success on the auto show circuit, this rugged, collapsible structure— engineered and built in collaboration with EWI Worldwide—continues to showcase the Ford Bronco's off-road capabilities with its dramatic 38-degree ascent and descent.

It ships efficiently, deploys with hydraulic power on-site, and delivers maximum wow factor with minimal effort.
