I’m always grateful for opportunities to share the work we do at Summit Pointe and, more importantly, the difference that work makes in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a video with Wayne State University’s Center for Behavioral Health and Justice, highlighting its program and the impact of this important work right here in our community.

I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and partnerships like these help us continue moving that work forward.

For me, it always comes back to the people we serve. Their stories, experiences, and needs are what drive the work we do every day. I’m proud to represent Summit Pointe and bring our community’s perspective to these important conversations. 💜

As a mother, I know how easy it is for all the attention to go to that sweet new baby. And while that little one deserves all the love and attention, we sometimes forget that mom is navigating a whole new world, too.

Sometimes, something as simple as asking, “How are YOU doing?” can make all the difference.

I'm so grateful to Sabrina for bringing this important conversation to Albion Healthy Babies Day. It's a wonderful reminder that supporting healthy babies also means supporting the moms and families who care for them.

Every parent deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported along the way. ❤️

It was wonderful to celebrate Julie, the winner of our Su***de Prevention Month t-shirt design contest! Julie’s design, “The world is a better place with you in it,” is a simple but powerful reminder of the impact each of us has. Thank you, Julie, for sharing your creativity and helping spread such an important message throughout Summit Pointe and our community.

I see our staff do remarkable things at Summit Pointe. They meet people in times of need, often during a crisis, and care for them in some of their most vulnerable moments. This year, I wanted to give our team a day to relax their shoulders, take a deep breath, and spend time with their families and friends. That's what "Summit Pointe Goes Wild" at Binder Park Zoo was all about.

I met spouses and children I’d heard so much about, caught up with families I’ve known for years, and found myself wondering how some of those kids got so big! We shared a meal, played games, and watched the kids lead the way from one animal to the next. I see our team do remarkable things, but watching them make those memories with their families meant a lot to me.

I’m grateful to everyone who helped make the day possible and to Binder Park Zoo for welcoming us. To our staff and your families: thank you for spending the day with us. This was a day I will be thinking about for quite some time. 💜

I had a great time attending Starr’s 10th Annual Night of Starrs last week! 💙

It was a meaningful evening celebrating the impact Starr has on children, families, and communities, while also recognizing the many people who continue to support their mission.

A special congratulations to Stand Tall Award recipient Marquetta Frost on this well-deserved recognition! Her story and commitment to the community was the highlight of the evening.

Thank you to Derek and Elizabeth for all the work they put into making this year’s Night of Starrs such a successful event. It was a great evening celebrating an organization and mission that make such an important difference in our community.

I had a great time at the Miles for Memories Community Stroll Celebration last week! 💙

It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support the important work Miles for Memories is doing for individuals and families impacted by dementia. Events like this are a great reminder of what can happen when our community comes together with a shared purpose.

It was great spending time with our Summit Pointe staff and Customer Advisory Committee members at the 2026 NAMIWalks Southwest Michigan! 💚 As a community partner, we were glad to be part of an event that brings people together to raise awareness and show support for mental health.

I loved being alongside our team throughout the event and seeing so many people come together for this important cause.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 10th Annual Recovery Walk and listen as people courageously shared their journeys of recovery.

One story that especially impacted me was that of Summit Pointe’s own Lisa Livingston. I have had the privilege of working alongside Lisa for years but hearing her share her journey gave me an entirely different perspective on the strength and perseverance she brings with her every day.

Lisa’s journey through life, her road to recovery, and the way she has turned those experiences into purpose through her work at Summit Pointe is truly inspiring. Her story is a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that our lived experiences can become some of our greatest strengths.

These are the stories that make me incredibly proud of the people I work alongside every day. They also make me reflect on the role Summit Pointe has in our community, not only as a place where people receive services, but as a place where people can find opportunity, purpose, connection, and space to grow together.

Thank you, Lisa, for having the courage to share your story. I know it impacted me, and I am certain I was not the only one. 💜
