Johnson Oil Company, Inc. is an Iowa-based Propane, Cylinder Exchange, and HVAC dealer. Founded by Wm. Johnson in 1945 with his sons Virgil and Richard Johnson. It is now owned and family operated by Henry R. The business started as a single gas station with bulk oil and gasoline delivery, adding propane delivery in the early 1960’s. Since that time the gas station, oil, and gas delivery service h
ave been sold. In 1993, Cylinder Express was added as a cylinder exchange business. Cylinder Express serves over 700 locations in Iowa, eastern Nebraska, southeast South Dakota, and southern Minnesota with grill cylinders and forklift cylinders. The retail propane side of the operation, Johnson Propane, Heating & Cooling, Inc., delivers to customers from five locations in western Iowa. Anthon, Battle Creek, Correctionville, Odebolt and Schleswig. Each have storage facilities. Offices are located in Battle Creek and Schleswig to better serve our customers. We also have a Heating & Air Conditioning service department based out of our corporate office in Battle Creek. Amana, Goodman, Lennox, Rheem, A. O. Smith, and LB White equipment is sold and serviced in our retail propane area.
