Wow, there really is no such thing as privacy anymore. This young man was put through a nasty ordeal simply because he used an app, and it could happen to any of us!

“If you’re innocent, that doesn’t mean you can’t be in the wrong place at the wrong time, like going on a bike ride in which your GPS puts you in a position where police suspect you of a crime you didn’t commit,” McCoy said.

McCoy said he may have ended up in a similar spot if his parents hadn’t given him several thousand dollars to hire Kenyon.

Fortunately for this guy, his parents could pull several thousand dollars from their savings to pay a lawyer. LET THAT SINK IN! Would you be able to come up with the money for a lawyer if faced with a similar situation?

LegalShield attorneys are just a phone call away, for situations like this, or any other legal matter that crops up in your life. Better to be prepared and have an inexpensive monthly subscription than to have the impossible happen, and not be covered.

"I was using an app to see how many miles I rode my bike and now it was putting me at the scene of the crime," the man said.

I have peace of mind because I know my information is protected, and if it is compromised I'll simply call my licensed private investigator. Can you say the same thing?

From a private group posting. Permission to share freely, this woman MUST be caught! Do you know her?

"Who am I?

Thief
Clark County Case #2318-13600 Established

On Thursday, September 6, 2018, this woman used bolt cutters at a local gym to steal wallets, house keys, car keys, and makeup. She made substantial purchases at local stores, and we are working with the loss prevention teams at this time. She also re-entered the same gym using a stolen driver’s license and attempted to impersonate the gym member in order to attempt additional thefts, however, she had a getaway vehicle waiting for her in the parking lot and they sped off before police arrived. Security footage has been obtained from the gym and both stores, however, it is believed she is working with a team of people. She may also use stolen IDs to attempt this at other gyms. If caught, will be charged with multiple felonies due to amount spent and impersonation/fraud.

These photos were taken on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the same gym when she attempted to impersonate the member.

Please share and help spread the word so we can catch them. Thanks!"

The second photo was taken from video footage at a store where she used one of the stolen credit cards.

As an identity theft prevention and restoration representative, this angers me. Unless they have a licensed fraud investigator on retainer who can fix this for them, each one of this woman's victims will now have to spend between 30 and 300 hours cleaning up her mess, and will never feel safe again. Not to mention the OTHER crimes this woman will be committing using their identity, which puts them at risk of arrest for crimes they did not commit. Please help stop this woman.

If you want to know more about how to get a fraud expert in your speed dial, I'm happy to share the information. I just didn't want to make this a commercial for any services, because the important thing is that this woman be caught and brought to justice before she can do more harm.

~In the Know~

Data breaches reported in July:

Timehop - User’s names, email addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, gender, country codes. Number of consumers affected? 21 million accounts!

Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com - Online customers’ email addresses, credit and debit card numbers, birthdays and other data. They did not disclose the number of affected consumers!

ComplyRight - Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, Social Security numbers of individual tax form recipients. Also did not disclose the number of affected consumers!

Georgia Tech - ID numbers, home address, Visa info, GPA, academic standing, hours earned. Number of affected consumers? Nearly 8,000 students!

Yale University - Social Security numbers, names, dates of birth. Did not disclose the number of affected consumers!

UnityPoint Health - May have included addresses, birth dates, medical record numbers, medical and treatment information, diagnoses, lab results, medications, providers, dates of service, insurance information, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment cards or bank account numbers. Number of affected consumers? 1.4 million!!!

Your information is out there already and the theft risk keeps growing. What are YOU doing to protect yourself from the risk? You say you’re doing nothing? Perhaps you have a band-aid “credit monitoring service”? Will they tell you when your address has been changed at the Post Office, or your driver’s license has appeared in a dark web chat room? Will they do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes to restore your good name back to pre-theft status, and back it up with a $5 million service guarantee? No???

Then we need to talk, because my company does all of that, and more.

Professionals are out to steal your identity. Shouldn’t you have professionals clean it up for you?

Just when you thought it was safe to breathe and come out from under the "they didn't get me this time" covers...

Have you heard of The Work Number? No? Neither had I until this morning.

The Work Number is a company that offers employers a service to employees for verifying employment and income. This is needed whenever you are going to rent or lease property, obtain credit, apply for a new job, get a loan, etc. The Work Number believes that it simplifies the verification process and accelerates qualifying decisions by using an online system available to verifier's 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sounds innocent enough, right? Especially since thousands of employers are already entrusting this company to provide the service to their employers. But, let's take a closer look...

Remember Equifax? Yes, that company that allowed the personal information of millions of people just like you and me to be hacked and stolen. Well, Equifax owns The Work Number.

Are you concerned, yet?

What exactly can be obtained through The Work Number? They provide what is called an Employment Data Report, or EDR. What's in this report? The EDR provides complete historical employment and income information. Let that sink in. A single, database containing your COMPLETE historical employment and income information.

Are you concerned now? I am.

Imagine getting a letter from the IRS telling you that you owe them more than $100,000 in taxes because work you performed in another state. Didn't live or work in that state? Prove it. Someone else got that COMPLETE historical data on YOU and got a job with your credentials! Then they chose not to file taxes on that income, so guess who the IRS will come after? How do you prove it wasn't you?

Imagine being denied the perfect job because your prospective employer doesn't think you can devote enough time to his project, as you already have a full-time job. What's that? You aren't working at all?

Prove it.

Verification of employment: get independent third-party employment verification or income verification online; get an instant employment check; outsource verifications; or provide a verification of your own employment background

So, the single most insidious breach of your personal data in the history of breaches was only the tip of the iceberg? Apparently Equifax also made money selling ads to companies out to hack you...with malicious adware.

What about the other two major bureaus...are they also selling their website to advertisers of adware? Transunion apparently isn't talking. No sound bites from Experian, either.

Do you want the Gold Standard of protection against the backlash this mess will cause for millions of people????

I have it.

The ads prompted visitors to download unwanted software.
