Fiberglass Repair
Your Boat or RV is a large investment and to protect this investment you should do as much research as possible on which shop you choose to repair your investment, below is a little bit about myself and my repair facility.
At the age of 18 in 1977 I bought a 69 Corvette and from that day forward working on the corvette I got my passion for fiberglass repair. A couple years later in 1979 I started working at my Dad and uncle's Corvette restoration shop Tri City Restoration, we restored mostly Corvette’s with an occasional boat. Shortly thereafter my brother and I took over the business. Eventually with the property up for sale I moved the business to Bay City in the early 80’s and changed the name to Tri City Fiberglass. Now in Bay City and close to the bay we turned our interest to Boat repair and after several years now we are repairing mostly boats with the occasional Corvette. Since then we changed our name one last time to Mid Michigan Fiberglass Inc. in 1990 and added RV repair to our profession. In 1999 we built our brand new 7000 sq ft facility that will accommodate any size trailer-able boat or RV located on M15 in Bay City.
Now with over 47yrs in the repair industry I’ve repaired almost any type of repair imaginable, Boats that fell off trailers, Boats that hit other boats, Jet Ski’s, Rocks, Break walls, Buoys, Lighthouses and even Freighters. We also fabricate many specialty items for Trade shows, Museums and Art exhibits. I’ve repaired so many Personal Watercraft that I invented, patented and distributed our very own PWC lift and workstation. I’ve also written and created the only fiberglass estimating software program standardizing fiberglass repair and used by most prominent repair shops, Insurance companies, adjusters, and Marine surveyors across the United States, Nationwide Insurance Co has been using our software to estimate boats and RV’s for the last 17 yrs. I’ve also been a guest speaker on estimating for several Insurance Companies and Marine Surveyor Conferences across the Nation.
We sublet Insurance and Warranty repairs for over 30 Boat and RV dealers across Michigan as well as servicing our own customers. We repair the damage that other repair shops won’t touch !! With 4 master fiberglass technicians our turnaround time is one week or less on smaller repairs. With our attention to integrity, detail and color match we are known as the premier repair facility in Michigan and still till this day have not had one unhappy customers in over 47 yrs.
