Radiant Arts has been designing, fabricating, and installing stained glass windows, protective glazing, and mosaics since 1998. We travel locally and across states at times for jobs to work on site or bring back decorative windows at our shop in Beach City, OH. The ideal candidate for the stained glass glazier position will likely have a construction background or relatable skill set and takes pride in their work. You’ll have to work on your own and be able to work together as a team. There are some physical demands at times as well as a relaxed environment to be yourself. Not all days are the same.

Some of the things you’ll be doing

- Measuring and cutting glass (pattern and straight lines), fitting, and building leaded windows (soldering)

- Dismantling windows, cleaning, moving panels of various weight, sealing

- Building scaffolding, packing crates, general labor

- Operating hand and power tools, climbing, working at different height levels

- Preparing and installing stained glass and exterior frames and windows

- Work on your own and work together as a team

Things we would like from you

- Able to travel and stay overnight at times - during the regular work week

- Have patience in working with glass, sometimes it’s solving puzzles and problems

- Think critically and be safe – It is glass you’ll be working with!

- Be physical in moving, standing in place, lifting over and under, not afraid of heights

- Detail oriented

Requirements

Prefer glass experience – but not necessary

Mechanical skills – working with your hands

Reading a tape measure

Pay

Starting pay is based on qualifying experience

A recent project we did for -Therese in Brewster, Ohio. We don't always do stained glass. Sometimes we get to mix in some interior design highlights such as this back wall behind the altar before and after with new faux finish.
