Yesterday I mentioned that you could hire someone for $4.50 per hour. 💵⠀⁣
⠀⁣
I teach people how to do this by hiring from the Philippines 🇵🇭, where we can leverage the exchange rate.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
This works for a few reasons:⠀⁣
⠀⁣
1️⃣. You, the small entrepreneur can afford this. You can probably easily guarantee a virtual assistant 10, 20, or 40 hours per week without worrying about going bust.✓⠀⁣
⠀⁣
2️⃣ The virtual assistant is happy to have steady work. It's a benefit to have ONE client who treats him/her well 💖, who he/she can grow with 🌱, versus constantly having to chase down new clients. And again, because of the exchange rate, $4.50 is a respectable starting wage.👍⠀⁣
⠀⁣
For example: $4.50 per hour is 223 Philippine pesos. Multiply that by forty hours and it's 35,680 pesos per month.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
This will pay for:⠀⁣
⠀⁣
🏡 House rent - 8,000⠀⁣
💡 Electricity - 5,000⠀⁣
🚰 Water Bill - 500⠀⁣
🍽 Food - 5,000⠀⁣
🧼 Toiletries and other grocery items - 3,000⠀⁣
🍚 1 sack of rice (25 kg) - 1,300⠀⁣
🖥 Internet subscription - 1,500⠀⁣
🎓 Monthly fees for 2 kids (private school) - 8,000⠀⁣
🏩 Health benefits, retirement - 1,850⠀⁣
🧾 Income tax - 1,188
💰 And your VA will still have 2,342 for savings 😉⠀⁣
⠀⁣
3️⃣ As your business grows, you can steadily increase your VA's salary 📈 and offer so many other benefits as well. ⠀⁣
⠀⠀⁣
You can offer your VA a percentage of sales 💵 based on how well you do on a launch. This is not only incredibly motivating, it truly makes your VA take ownership in your business. And it is gestures like this that help you to cultivate a relationship 💖 with your assistant that will last years and years, not a few weeks or months.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
You can offer your VA access to your own trainings and resources.📀 When they build their skills,💪 obviously this benefits your business, but it also helps them to learn and grow.⠀⁣

Sometimes people look at me like I have two heads 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️ when I say that I think a person should have a virtual assistant right from the START.⠀⁣
But it's true. This is what I believe.⠀⁣
Think about it...⠀⁣
⠀⁣
When you started your business you probably had certain things in place:⠀⁣
✔ created an LLC and took care of other legal matters ⚖️⠀⁣
✔ set up an office 💼⠀⁣
✔ set up a bank account 💳⠀⁣
✔ made sure your wifi was secure 📶⠀⁣
✔ purchased software and online tools 📀⠀⁣
⠀⁣
But right from the start...from the minute ⏰ you start working with clients and customers, there is work to be done that either⠀⁣
1. you are not good at 💩⠀⁣
2. you don't enjoy 👎⠀⁣
3. it doesn't create revenue 🚫⠀⁣
4. someone else can do it better 👀⠀⁣
⠀⁣
Let's say you are consulting or coaching for $100 per hour.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
It's Monday, and you have one client. You've made $100.⠀⁣
⠀⁣
But you spend 3️⃣ hours writing the proposal, sending the contract, writing the emails, and filing the notes from that client. ⠀⁣
(Not to mention the marketing you are trying to do, content creation, and sales calls).⠀⁣
If you are charging $100 an hour, you earned -$200. YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE RED.‼️⠀⁣
⠀⁣
If you set up your business so that someone else is handling the tasks that are not revenue-producing, you will see growth🌱 right from the start.⠀⁣
But actually, if you use those 3 hours to get on sales calls, to write your killer webinar, to livestream, to see more clients... you are potentially in the black by hundreds or thousands of dollars...💵⠀⁣
⠀⁣..because THOSE ARE THE REVENUE-PRODUCING TASKS.💰⠀⁣

Usually we look at it the other way around. ♻️⠀⁣

We say, "if I make x amount of revenue, I will hire someone".⠀⁣
⠀⁣
But the problem with that thinking is that it takes wayyyy longer to get to x if you are spending so much of your time doing the things that DON'T CREATE REVENUE.⠀⁣

I wish I had realized this when I started my business, but it took me about two years to figure it out.⠀⁣

But I know entrepreneurs who are in the 4th, 5th, and 6th years of business and are STILL spinning their wheels 𐃏 because they have yet to understand this simple formula:⠀⁣

Belinda Wasser (self-confessed control freak) talks to me about hiring her first VA on this new podcast episode. She wasn’t sure that any of this would work for her. Following the process outlined in the Front Row CEO program made the difference.

Belinda shares how things started:
→ She used a test week to make sure her VA would be a good fit
→ Get her suggestions for the tasks to assign that make an impact without worry
→ Using videos helped to make sure she was communicating exactly what she needed as part of VA training

Get the breakdown of 3 specific processes that Belinda created that her VA implements. Repeat tasks that used to take hours, now feel automatic. A key benefit: her VA was able to get up to speed on her content, voice, and messaging from the beginning.
