POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Installation, service and maintenance of Residential and Commercial Engineered Fire Alarm Systems. Programming of fire alarm panels in the field. Testing of fire alarm panels, devices, and installed/services. Also Installation of CCTV & Access Control Systems IS Required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, Service, Program, Test and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems.
· Provide technical support to Customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers.
· Perform or be available for other technical or engineering duties as assigned.
· Ensure equipment is functional and operational.
· Interact professionally with customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
· Comprehensive knowledge of all types of fire alarm equipment operation and functionality, Reading blueprints and wire schematics a plus.
· Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
· Minimum of two (2) years practical alarm installation and service experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Work is performed in a variety of environments. Including but not limited to, Residential homes, warehouse, and office environments.
· Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing and walking significant distances.
· Work from ladders and scaffolds or at heights above 30 feet.
· Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
· Employee may be subject to some lifting up to 50lbs.
