🐾💚 Happy National Dog Day from Southern Sentry! 💚🐾

Today we’re celebrating all of the wonderful dogs who bring so much love, companionship, and joy to our lives. ❤️

Of course, we have to give a special shoutout to Pablo, our Southern Sentry office mascot! 🐶 He’s a big part of our family and always happy to be part of the Southern Sentry team.

And in case you ever call Southern Sentry and hear a little barking in the background… don’t worry—we haven’t hired a new technician (we are HIRING, so send us a resume!). That’s just Pablo making sure he’s included in the conversation! 😂🐾

💔 Southern Sentry is heartbroken to hear of the passing of the one and only Dolly Parton. 💔

Some people make music. Some people make movies. Some people build businesses. And then there are people like Dolly, who somehow managed to do all of that while making the world a little kinder along the way.

For the Miller family, Dolly has always been much more than a country music legend.

For Matt, who grew up in East Tennessee, Dolly's music was part of the soundtrack of his childhood. For Stephanie, there are memories of seeing Dolly perform at Thompson-Boling Arena. And then there are the memories that belong to our own children—like our daughter singing Dolly Parton songs before she could even put together a full sentence. ❤️

There were the wonderful books from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library that helped lull our children to sleep, and countless summer days spent making memories at Dollywood. 📚🎢

But perhaps what we will remember most wasn't just her music or her incredible career. It was Dolly's essence—her giving heart, her grace, her faith, her humor, and the genuine love she showed to people.

She had a remarkable way of making millions of people feel like they were part of her family.

And for a family-owned business like Southern Sentry, that example means something to us. Take care of people. Give when you can. Be kind. Stay humble. And leave things a little better than you found them.

Dolly Parton lived those things in a way few ever have.

Her music will keep playing. Her stories will keep being told. Her books will keep finding their way into children's hands. Her laughter will keep making people smile. And the places she created will keep making memories for generations to come.

Southern Sentry is seeking both an Integration Technician and an Integration Technician Apprentice to join our growing team.

Whether you’re an experienced low-voltage technician or someone looking to start a rewarding career in the security and life safety industry, we’d love to hear from you.
Our technicians install, service, and maintain a wide variety of integrated systems for residential and commercial customers, including:
Security and intrusion alarm systems
Fire alarm systems
Video surveillance systems
Access control systems
Audio and intercom systems
Networking and other low-voltage technologies

Integration Technician
The ideal candidate has experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing low-voltage systems while providing exceptional customer service. Experience with security, fire alarms, cameras, access control, networking, or related electrical work is preferred.

Integration Technician Apprentice
No industry experience? No problem. If you have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn, we’ll provide the hands-on training and mentorship needed to build a successful career in the low-voltage industry.
Qualifications
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Dependable and professional
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas
Ability to work safely while following company procedures
Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Pass a background check (required for working in secured environments)
