Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, honoring the day in 1865 when enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free. This day is a reminder of delayed justice, but also of unmatched resilience.
As we reflect on this freedom, we also acknowledge the ongoing fight for equity, especially for Black led nonprofit organizations. According to The Giving Gap’s 2022 report, Black nonprofits often receive less funding despite being deeply rooted in community healing and impact. (Source: nonprofitpro.com)
