A little paint, a lot of love! 🎨🤟🏼

We wrapped up Deaf Awareness Month with a little creativity, painting our own “I love you” handshapes! A big shout out to The Favor Boutique for these adorable craft kits! It was the perfect way to finish our month of learning about ASL, Deaf culture, and the Deaf community. 💛💙

September may be ending, but celebrating Deaf culture continues all year in our classroom! 🤟🏼

In honor of International Day of Sign Languages, help your students discover how Deaf communities around the world use their own natural sign languages with unique histories, grammar, and cultural connections.

My Meet 6 Sign Languages Around the World mini-unit introduces students to:

• American Sign Language (ASL)
• British Sign Language (BSL)
• French Sign Language (LSF)
• Brazilian Sign Language (Libras)
• Japanese Sign Language (JSL)
• Australian Sign Language (Auslan)

Students can read, map, compare, and reflect while building a deeper appreciation for global Deaf communities. It’s ready to print and use for International Day of Sign Languages, Deaf Awareness Month, or a lesson about language and culture.
