Just a little TLC goes a long way

How should you store an aluminum boat? The goal is simple: keep water out, keep air moving, and reduce stress on the hull and trailer.

Short-term storage:
Park on level ground and trim the motor down so water drains.
Remove wet gear and open compartments to dry out.
Use a cover that fits snug and sheds rain.

Long-term storage:
Clean and fully dry the interior and decks.
Protect upholstery and electronics from moisture.
Use trailer jack stands if recommended and keep tires properly inflated.
Check the cover every couple of weeks for pooling and ventilation.
Mildew and corrosion usually start in storage, not on the water. A little prep goes a long way.

WELL! As sad as it is, hunting season for 99% of us is over. Time to start considering FISHING (I know we can fish 365 days in SE TX)

If you want to order a boat that is not on our lot, we need to get started now so we can get it before the summer is over.

WHAT TO DO WITH MY BOAT IN A FREEZE?

If you have an outboard engine, there is no place in the block that holds water. You many retain some in the lower unit if the engine is tilted up. In order to release all water, simply put it in full downward tilt. Raise the bow of the boat as high as possible to drain any water in the hull (would probably do nothing if it froze anyway).
