Governor Jeff Landry visits Industrial Rescue at the Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition!

This week, Industrial Rescue participated in the Americas LNG Summit & Exhibition at the Lake Charles Event Center, where our team had the opportunity to connect with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry.

With three full-time Emergency Response Teams serving LNG facilities across Louisiana, Industrial Rescue plays an active role in supporting emergency preparedness and safety within the industry.

During the event, our team discussed ideas for developing Louisiana's emergency response workforce and creating well-paying career opportunities for individuals interested in the field.

🚨 IRECA 2027 Conference & Challenge is coming to Southeast Texas! 🚨

Industrial Rescue is proud to announce that the International Rescue & Emergency Care Association (IRECA) will hold its 2027 Conference and Competition in the Beaumont/Orange area, June 7–11, 2027.

This five-day event will bring emergency responders from around the world together to compete, train, and share their expertise through:

• Auto Extrication Challenge
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Challenge
• Physical Fitness Challenge
• Two-Day, Six-Person Technical Rescue Challenge

For the first time in IRECA history, the Technical Rescue Challenge will take place across two venues, including the Industrial Rescue (IRIS) Fire/Rescue Training site in Beaumont and Triangle Rescue in Orange.

“We are very happy to be hosting next year’s event. The schedule should provide teams with some very challenging scenarios,” said IRIS Executive Director John Voinchè.

A great day on the course for a great cause! ⛳

Industrial Rescue was proud to support the **VPPPA Golf Tournament** last week at Eagle Pointe Golf Club in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Proceeds from the event benefit the **Region VI Outreach and Education Fund**, helping support continued outreach and education throughout the region.

The event brought together 144 participants who share a commitment to workplace safety and protecting the people behind our industries.

At Industrial Rescue, we share VPPPA's commitment to going beyond minimum compliance through hazard prevention, worksite analysis, employee training, and worker protection.

Please join us in congratulating Sonny Coffey on his promotion to Battalion Chief at our Cameron location! 👏

Sonny has been a valued member of Industrial Rescue since 2015 and brings more than 20 years of fire service experience to this leadership role.

His fire service career began as a volunteer firefighter following Hurricane Rita. Since then, Sonny has built an extensive career serving in leadership, instructional, and emergency response roles throughout Louisiana and Texas. During his time with Industrial Rescue, he has served as an instructor, responder, and leader, gaining significant experience working alongside industrial fire brigades and responding to major industrial incidents.

Reflecting on his career, Sonny shared:
"For the last 20 years, I've poured my heart into the fire service. Every opportunity I've had, whether as a volunteer firefighter, instructor, captain, chief, or emergency responder, has helped shape who I am today."

Sonny's experience, dedication to the fire service, and commitment to developing those around him have shaped a career built on service and leadership.

We are so proud to have him as part of our team and look forward to seeing him continue that work in his new role!
