🌱💚 We are incredibly grateful to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam for their generous $5,000 donation to the Growing Access: Inclusive Community Garden & Life Skills Initiative!

This project, made possible through a partnership between Bright Futures of Wisconsin and The Playground Movement’s Food is Free Community Garden, will expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities to build valuable life skills through gardening, nutrition education, teamwork, and community engagement.

We were recently proud to donate $5,000 to the Playground Movement’s Food is Free Community Garden program as part of our Community Health and Community Benefit Initiative spring funding cycle!

In partnership with Bright Futures of Wisconsin, the Growing Access: Inclusive Community Garden & Life Skills Initiative expands an already established and growing community garden. It adds accessible raised garden beds designed for individuals with limited mobility, including those who may have difficulty bending, kneeling, or engaging with traditional ground-level garden spaces. These enhancements ensure that more community members can equitably participate in food production, skill-building, and community engagement.

We are truly lucky to partner with so many wonderful organizations. 🍀
We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with our friends at PAVE on an eight-week course focused on healthy relationships, boundaries, and self-advocacy. Today, participants celebrated their achievements as they received their certificates of completion.
We extent our sincere thanks to our instructor, Alex and everyone at PAVE for providing such a meaningful and enriching learning opportunity.

Bright Futures job seekers attended the South Central Wisconsin Career Expo last week!

They spoke with a variety of employers, asked questions, and learned what companies look for in their employees. It was a great opportunity to practice networking, explore career paths, and build confidence while connecting with our local workforce community.

We’re proud of the way our team represented Bright Futures and stepped outside their comfort zones to learn, connect, and grow.

Today’s Peer Mentoring at Moraine Park was a flavorful success! 🍟

Our Bright Futures team members teamed up with MPTC students to create a custom French fry seasoning. Together, they measured, mixed, and packaged the blend while building teamwork, communication, and hands-on kitchen skills.

A special thank you to MPTC students Mason and Isaac and Student Life Advisor Robert for their time, support, and for making today such a great experience for our group!

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Moraine Park Technical College. Opportunities like this help build confidence, friendships, and real-world skills — all while having a little fun along the way.

On Friday, Bright Futures team members partnered with the Dodge County Center for the Arts to create and deliver handmade flower bouquets to our friends at Eagle’s Wings and seniors throughout the community.

Team members learned hands-on skills in flower arranging while also practicing teamwork, communication, and community outreach. But the most meaningful part? The smiles, conversations, and connections that came from sharing something simple and thoughtful.

We’re grateful for partnerships like DCCA that create opportunities for our team members to build skills, connect with others, and make a positive impact right here in our community. Happy Valentine’s Day! 💐

Recently, Bright Futures team members were busy making magic happen behind the scenes at Horicon Marsh!

We helped assemble hundreds of luminary lights that will be used for the upcoming Candlelight Hike, an event that brings the community together to experience the marsh in a truly special way.

We’re so proud of the focus, teamwork, and care our team members showed while contributing to such a meaningful community event.
