After almost a year in preparing and setting up new compressed air, new vacuum, and new electrical service for a new CNC machine, I finally ran my first file on our new CAMaster Cobra Elite 5x10 CNC machine last night! I know, it is just surfacing the spoil board (boring) but there is a LOT more to come. We will use this CNC to cut a lot of wood parts for caskets and cremation urns. Additionally, if you or anyone you know might be in need of CNC work cutting wood, foam, vinyl, or plastics for furniture, cabinetry, signs, art, patterns, molds, or prototypes, we are here to support your projects. "Make It Count!" she said to me. And so these are some of the things I say to myself every day: Make it a great day. Live life to the fullest you can imagine. Explore the Grand Canyon. Hike a Mountain (like Mt. Whitney in the photo here from 2017). Ride a Motorcycle. Learn to Paint with the The Walldogs. Jump out of an Airplane. Start a Company. Make a Family. Love easily. Ride a vintage motorcycle in Motorcycle Cannonball. Be Kind. Celebrate other's successes. And remember to be kind to yourself. .......It has been 25 years ago today since I had a 2nd chance at life. It has been an awakening and a journey of self-correction, learning, loving, and so much joy. I am so so so grateful for all of the wonderful and amazing people in my life who knew me 25 years ago, helped me then, as well as all of those who have shared a few steps alongside me in my walk on this earth since then. Life is so precious. I'm only getting started... I like to believe that I have not yet started the things I will be remembered for most after my last walk on this earth. Until then... I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other and see where this beautiful life takes me. For anyone local to Beaver Dam, my feet will take me to OOGA Brewing Company at about 5pm today for a beer or two to celebrate a lifetime of 2nd chances (well, precisely 1/2 my lifetime so far).
