"Must be nice" thats what im always told. And in some ways yes owning my own company and building my own name is amazing. Watching my children not struggle and wanting to carry on where I will one day leave off. I hope that I can leave them in a much better position than I. But on the other hand nobody talks about all the B.S. and drama a small business owner goes through on the daily. We're out here trying to outrun the sunset every single day, grinding. Trying to make sure all the customers that appreciate what we do are taken care. No one talks about all the time away from family all the missed events and practices and horse lessons. Or the little ones excitement when their tooth falls out. We get to stumble in after dark shower and collapse. Then get up before daylight and do it all over again. My point is when you see someone running a small business, don't just ask for a handout though most of us will do it out of the kindness of our heart. Ask them how theyre doing. Is there anything you could do to help. Don't ask them for a discount its hard enough as it is in today's world. You don't ever see the behind the scenes. Now I wouldn't change it for the world but I do see we are losing basic human traits such as conversation. So jabe the conversation. Share every post they make it only takes two seconds and could help tremendously. If you had work done post it all over social media. Let's no lose the small business we do have.
