Raleigh County Day Report Staff Spotlight-- Amanda Newman

Amanda Newman has served as the Female Drug Screen Technician at Raleigh County Day Report since March 2025. In her role, she works directly with participants each day and strives to make the screening process as comfortable and respectful as possible.

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Addictions from Southern New Hampshire University. Before joining Day Report, she spent several years working at the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department Home Confinement Office, where she gained experience working with the courts and justice-involved individuals.

Amanda enjoys getting to know the people who come through Day Report and believes that sometimes a little kindness, encouragement, or simply listening can make a difference. She loves being part of a team that can laugh together, support one another, and still come together when someone needs help.

For Amanda, Day Report is about more than drug screens; it’s about treating people like people and encouraging them as they work toward positive changes in their lives.

Raleigh County Day Report has collaborated with RCUP to host a food drive for the month of September. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Our hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm closed for lunch from 11:45am to 1pm.
