It seems that about half of our new consults are asking to discuss by phone. We can have a meaningful consultation through telephone, FaceTime, Skype, or zoom. Much of what we would need to file or respond to a case can be done electronically. Don’t let the epidemic hold you back from taking care of necessary business.

The Raleigh County Judicial Annex closed at 4:30 p.m. today and will not reopen until 8:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, due to COVID-19. Cases that were to have hearings this week will be rescheduled. A Magistrate will be on call to handle all emergency matters. Anyone who needs to file an emergency matter should contact the Raleigh County EOC at 304-255-9312. That office will contact the magistrate on call.

Good morning! The Supreme Court is beginning to loosen restrictions and Court is starting up. My staff has worked through the quarantine to work with Court staff in getting new dates on any cases continued as a result of Cov-ID 19. We can still do virtual or telephone appointments. Thank you all for being patient. I know many clients are looking forward to their cases being resolved. Call the office and set an appointment today!
