Hunting season is only a few weeks away, so it feels like a good time to finally make this official.
Over the last few years, I’ve messed around with thermal drone deer recovery, tested the equipment in different conditions, and learned a lot about where it can help—and where it can’t. Until now, it hasn’t been something ECM Aerial Imaging publicly offered. This season, that’s changing.
If you make a lawful shot but lose the blood trail, I can use the thermal drone to search the area from above. It gives us another way to cover difficult terrain and look for something that may be nearly impossible to see from the ground.
Thermal is a powerful tool, but it isn’t magic, and no one should promise that every search will end in a recovery. Vegetation, weather, timing and the information available all matter. I’ll always be honest about whether the conditions make a search worthwhile.
This is a recovery-only service—not scouting. ECM is based in Greenwood and will be serving the Indianapolis area, Central Indiana and South Central Indiana.

If you hunt locally, save the page now. Hopefully you never need it, but it will be there if you do.
