🚨 As our community continues to recover from Monday's severe storms, the Beecher Fire Protection District remains committed to assisting our residents and supporting our partner agencies throughout the recovery process.
We continue to work closely with the Village of Beecher, Washington Township, Will County Emergency Management Agency, ComEd, and our mutual aid partners to help ensure our community recovers as safely and efficiently as possible.
⚡ Power Restoration
ComEd crews continue working to restore power throughout the affected areas. Currently in our area, there are approximately 260 residences still without power.

🪵 Need Assistance with Storm Debris?
Christian Aid Ministries Rapid Response Services and International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) are assisting residents with cutting and moving storm debris to the public right-of-way.

📝 Complete the damage survey at willcountyema.org/storm
After completing the survey, you will receive a waiver by text message that must be signed before services can be provided. A representative will follow up with you. Assistance is based on volunteer availability and the type of work requested. Residents who already completed the Will County Damage Survey and requested tree cleanup assistance through the survey will be contacted by Christian Aid Ministries and provided with a paper waiver form.
📋 Report Storm Damage
If your property sustained damage during the storm, please complete the voluntary damage assessment survey at willcountyema.org/storm. This information helps emergency management officials better understand the overall impact of the storm and identify community recovery needs.
⚠️ Safety Reminders
Generator Safety
• Operate generators outdoors only, at least 20 feet from your home.
• Position the exhaust away from doors, windows, and vents.
• Never operate a generator inside a garage, basement, or any enclosed space due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Branch & Debris Safety
• Wear appropriate protective equipment when cleaning up debris.
• Keep hands and loose clothing away from chipping equipment.
• Feed branches slowly and avoid overloading equipment.
• Place branches neatly at the curb while keeping roads, sidewalks, and storm drains clear.
If you encounter a downed power line, always assume it is energized. Stay away, keep others away, and immediately report it by calling 911 and ComEd.
