What was the most surprising thing you learned at our first Pathway to Preparedness workshop?

For Beecher resident Valerie Lynch, it was the whole picture - the staffing challenges, the long hospital transport times, and the other struggles we are facing.
Hear what your neighbors are learning, then see the full picture for yourself at our final workshop, Nov. 5 (6–8 p.m. at the Beecher High School gym).

📣 HATS OFF TO THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE YEAR! 🏆

What an opportunity it was to be in attendance last night, as the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association recognized Chief Falaschetti for his dedication, hard work, and commitment to our Fire District, our members, and the community we proudly serve.

We couldn’t be more proud to have him as our Chief, and are grateful for the leadership and heart he brings to our organization every day.

Strong work!

🚒🔥 BEECHER… CANCEL YOUR FRIDAY NIGHT PLANS! 🔥🚁

Okay, maybe not ALL your plans… but if they don’t involve fire trucks, helicopters, free food, and some pretty awesome demonstrations, you might want to reconsider! 😂

The Beecher Fire Protection District Annual Open House is happening THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9th, from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM, and we’re pulling out all the stops!

🚁 MEDICAL HELICOPTER LANDING AT 5:00 PM! That's right, we're kicking things off with a helicopter landing! You definitely don't want to miss this!

🔥 FIRE SPRINKLER DEMONSTRATION! Ever wonder how much of a difference a fire sprinkler can make? We'll have a side-by-side fire demonstration that shows just how quickly things can go from bad to REALLY bad… and how sprinklers can save lives!

🚪 CLOSE BEFORE YOU DOZE! We'll also have a special demonstration showing why closing your bedroom door before going to sleep could save your life. Turns out, your parents were right about closing doors… just maybe not for the reasons you thought! 😂

🐕 COMFORT DOGS! Our four-legged friends from Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry will be joining us! Come get some puppy love! ❤️

🚓 COMMUNITY PARTNERS! We'll have some great organizations joining us, including the Beecher Police Department, Beecher EMA, Will County Senior Services, and several others!

🌭🍿🍭 DID WE MENTION FREE FOOD?! Hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and more! Yes, FREE! Your wallet can take the night off!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Fire trucks, activities for the kids, giveaways, fire safety education, and plenty of opportunities to meet the firefighters and paramedics who serve our community!

Fire Prevention Week 2026 is underway!

🔋 Charge into Fire Safety 🔌

Charge safely:

⚡️Use manufacturer-approved charging equipment

⚡️Unplug devices when they’re fully charged

⚡️Never charge or use damaged batteries or devices

⚡️Keep charging devices on a hard, flat surface- never under a pillow, on a bed, or on a couch

⚡️Charge larger equipment outdoors (scooters, e-bikes, etc) with a clear exit

⚡️ Never ignore signs of a battery problem, such as excessive heat, swelling, leaking, or unusual odors

We rely more and more on battery-powered devices, it’s important to know how to use and charge them safely.

📣 If you’re looking for a night to “unplug,” be sure to visit our Annual Open House this Friday, 10/9! 🔥

⭐️ See you at the Night Out! 🚒

Help us build a room that will save lives!

“Picture it. Beecher. 2026.” (Picture below, IYKYK)

Our goal is to create three realistic rooms for our Annual Open House on October 9th. This live fire presentation will demonstrate how quickly a fire can grow, how smoke behaves, the importance of sprinklers and working smoke alarms- and why we should sleep with a closed door.

We need your help! If you’re willing to get rid of any used items, we’re looking for:

-Oversized chairs
-Side tables / TV stands
-TVs (the older the better)
-Lamps
-Living room decor / bedroom decor
-Twin sized mattress / bedding
