Harford County Bar Foundation A community and legal outreach program helping disadvantaged individuals and families of Harford and Cecil Counties obtain needed counsel and support.

A non-profit community outreach program whose mission is to surround the disadvantaged citizens of Harford and Cecil counties with legal education and advocacy regarding issues that impact an individual's and family's well-being. HCBF holds clinics, workshops, provides direct representation and collaborates with other non-profits regarding abuse, custody, homelessness, bankruptcy, and employment issues.

❤️ In observance of Juneteenth, we will be closed on Friday, June 19th.

💛 Please note, there will be NO RENT court Friday, June 19th.

💚 We will reopen on Monday, June 22nd during our regular business hours.

Let us introduce another new summer intern, Diana!

Diana is from Forest Hill, and she enjoys playing field hockey 🏑, reading a good book 📚, and watching movies 🎬.

She is passionate about pursuing a future in Criminal Law ⚖️ because she wants to help protect society and finds the field fascinating.

💼 Ruthann Underwood, our Administrative Assistant, keeps our legal clinics running smoothly, serves as a key point of contact for residents, manages program data, and helps ensure our office stays organized and efficient.

🐾 And of course, Fripp, our Office Greeter, brings smiles, enthusiasm, protection and a little extra joy to everyone who walks through our doors!

At HCBF, every case, every client, and every success story is made possible by the dedicated staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes. 💙⚖️

Today, we’re proud to recognize Jessica Wood, Case Manager, and Tina Heidrick, ACE Coordinator, whose compassion, hard work, and commitment help connect individuals and families with the legal assistance they need.

🏛️ Jessica has helped place more than 130 cases this year through our Judicare Program, providing access to free and reduced-cost legal services for families facing difficult challenges.

🏠 Tina has been essential in building and coordinating our Access to Counsel in Evictions (ACE) Program, helping hundreds of tenants receive critical legal representation.

🏛️ This past Thursday, our legal interns, Lyndsay and Emma, had the opportunity to visit the Supreme Court of Maryland in Annapolis!

During their visit, they observed three oral arguments, met with law clerks and law students, and even had the chance to enjoy lunch with Justice Eaves!⚖️👩🏽‍⚖️

It was an incredible day filled with learning, networking, and a behind-the-scenes look at Maryland's judicial system.

We're so proud of these future legal professionals and grateful for opportunities like this!👏✨
