Cassida's Taxidermy provides hunters and fishermen everywhere a service that is unparalleled in preserving many types of hunters' trophies. (Sorry, we do not do pets!)
Game processing of bear, moose, & deer begins in September through the end of deer hunting season. We do all of the regular cuts, sausages, & snack sticks- best summer sausage around! If you're interested in charter fishing trips as well as annual Spring hunting trips, check out Waterdog Charters page as well!

To say that we are grateful for the people who show up every day and do everything that needs to be done to provide top quality service- it's a complete and total understatement.

And thank you also to Joey & Ryan for stepping in on days we needed you!

They're here!! We have them in Navy & Black, S, M, L, XL, and a few 2XL. $45 eachIf you need one shipped, email Jacki at...

Happy snow day!
We want to address an issue that comes up once every season. We get it, so we got you.
How much meat should you expect from your harvested deer?
The short answer is ABOUT 1/3 of hanging weight. We've accumulated enough data over the last few years to make that determination.
You'll always get all the regular cuts of steaks- UNLESS there's damage, in which case, we'll tell you.
In addition to damage, other variables might include shot placement, number of shots, extra fat that had been trimmed (especially if you ask for a lot of stew meat), rot (because you kept it longer than you told us), improper field dressing, whatever.
We have two seasoned skinners, two seasoned cutters, and a dedicated and efficient crew.
We make every effort to make sure you get as much of your deer meat back as we can. That is the standard operating procedure, and that's it.
There are only so many miracles that professionals can perform, but we do our best. :)
That being said, mistakes happen. If you feel there's been one, call us.
