On 02/10 at 0337 hours, Stations 3 and 7 were dispatched to the Dunes of Shoal Harbor for a reported fire alarm activation with water flooding inside the structure. Engine 375 and Truck 790 responded.

Chief officers arrived on scene and reported water flowing from the front door of the condo. Engine 375 arrived on location and assumed command under Lt. Schinder. The crew from Engine 375 began investigating to locate and shut down the main water supply for a ruptured domestic water pipe.

Truck 790 arrived shortly thereafter under the command of Capt. Dowens and assisted with locating and shutting down the main. After moving several mounds of snow and ice, the water main was located. Lt. Schinder and Lt. Eastmond were able to secure the main and stop the water flow.

The water company and property manager were notified and advised to respond. All units cleared the scene without incident.
