Fun fact on our pest this Mite: a minute arachnid or a small arachnid which has four pairs of legs when adult (eight-legged arthropods), related to the ticks. Many kinds live in the soil and a number are parasitic on plants or animals.

Friendly reminder! Most of the sprinklers have been blown out for the season. With the warmer weather and lack of moisture, your trees are thirsty going into the changing seasons.
Don’t forget to give those trees a drink. Especially new landscaping installs.

Fall Watering for Trees
While the above-ground parts of deciduous trees go dormant into the fall, the root systems remain active until the ground freezes and needs that moisture for continued growth. Prolonged dry periods, especially when late summer and fall temperatures are high, can result in root damage, stunted growth, early defoliation, branch and tip dieback, and even overall death of sensitive trees and shrubs.
Water when air temperatures are above 40 F and there is no snow cover on the ground.
