Wow!! What a rodeo week! In spite of the heat and the amount of people and rodeo rigs, we pulled off one hell of an event in Deadwood. Are we perfect? Absolutely not, but we try to make things work well. We were yelled at, lied to and disrespected by a few choice individuals, but all in all the amount of compliments far outnumbered the complaints. We do what we can do with the amount of parking for both contestants and spectators, and when we are full that means we are full. It doesnt give y@ou the right to scream at my employees. I wont stand for it.
On the good side, we were told numerous times that we are the most accommodating security company of all the rodeos. That makes a buy feel good! A huge thanks to my employees, the Days of 76 committee and to the participants and spectators.
Now its time to gear up for Rally, the Kool Deadwood Nites!!

Good morning Deadwood! Be sure and come up to the 2nd Annual Bluesfest Concert tonight at the Outlaw Square !
Also, the 3 Wheeler Rally is starting today at the rodeo grounds. The entire complex is reserved for this event so access is very limited. You can still visit the Days of 76 museum, just tell my guy at the front gate. You may not drive through the complex as a shortcut to any residential area, so dont even ask. I dont care that you do it the rest of the year, access is closed until Thu morning.
The Days of 76 starts on Sunday so again, access will be closed off for this event as well.
Stay cool, hydrate and enjoy your summer!!

If you were at the Wild Bill Days festivities yesterday and lost a key ring with several keys and a fob we turned it into Deadwood Police Dept after having it announced after the concert at the Outlaw Square. Get ahold of them to identify!

Well, summer must be close because here we go! Busy weekend in Deadwood coming starting tonight!
Come on up to the Outlaw Square tonight for Pecos and the Rooftops concert. Looks like the rain has moved on so it will just be chilly so layer up! Free concert!!
Tomorrow is the BH Motorcycle Show at the Grand! Come up and see some awesome bikes and vendors. $5 to get in and its going to a great cause.
When you get done there come back to the Square for night #2 with Judd Hoos!! You know it's going to be a great night with this band!! Another free concert!!
Then its Sunday Funday at the Deadwood Rodeo Grounds with the Backed When They Bucked Rodeo!! Looks to be 80° and sunny on Sunday! What a great finish to an awesome weekend in Deadwood!
We are very proud to be Deadwoods choice for security companies!! This is our 16th year and we love it.

A great weekend in Deadwood and Lead! Forks corks and kegs in Deadwood was a great time. The LeadCon at the Homestake Opera House was definitely a different kind of event, and a good crowd showed up for their first one!

Just a couple things from working the concert last night. Please check your IDs BEFORE you come to Deadwood. Its crazy how many expired drivers licenses we encounter. By law, we can refuse entry to a casino.
Deadwood Mountain Grand is a 21+ venue. Period. Saying you called and someone said that under 21 can go to the concert wont work. Also, the bag policy is in place for EVERY concert. Leave your backpacks and large purses at home, in your room or vehicle. Also, leave your belt knives or other weapons there as well.
If you are diabetic, please monitor your blood sugar. We deal with it quite a bit at concerts. Be aware of what your body is telling you!!
We had a great crowd last night, and we were thanked numerous times on how we handle issues. We arent the enemy, we just want you and those around you to have a safe and fun experience.
