Last Saturday, DLI took on produce sorting at the Food Lifeline Hunger Solution Center in South Seattle! DLI volunteers spent the morning repacking 🥬heads of cabbage🥬 from large bulk boxes into more manageable 25+ lbs boxes. In just a few hours, our team processed an impressive 7,725 pounds of cabbage, which is already headed to food banks and meal programs across our area. This nutritious food will help support children, seniors, and families struggling to keep food on the table.

A big thank you to our DLI volunteers for rolling up their sleeves and making a difference!

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, we recognize the histories, cultures, contributions, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and communities across the country.

Saturday morning, DLI volunteers rolled up their sleeves and re-portioned 🍚rice🍚 at the Lifeline Hunger Solution Center in South Seattle! The team transformed massive bags of this essential staple into more manageable 2 lb portions. In just a few hours, roughly 780 pounds of rice was repackaged and made available to Food Lifeline’s nearly 300 partner food banks and meal programs in our area. This effort will help support children, seniors, and families in our community who are working hard to put food on the table.
