The presence of biofilms is significant in natural ecosystems and the human body. Researchers looked at bacterial conjunctivitis samples for their biofilm-forming ability and found that biofilm-embedded bacteria had increased tolerance to antibiotics. Authors used Levofloxacin and Amikacin in their study.
