Beautiful watercolor commission I illustrated in 2015! This was a unique gift between friends, and everyone was happy with the result! For this illustration, I used watercolor pencils instead of paint. I liked the additional control over fine details that I could achieve using this method. The elephant and surrounding environment of the composition was intended to resemble the African continent.

I’m excited to participate in my first art battle! and I will both be in attendance showing off our skills. I love working in public and getting to network with other artists :) I’m planning on bringing at least one painting, plus a stack of sticker slaps I have been illustrating. Looking forward to the incredible artwork others are sure to bring!

The Snow Queen sowing a bit of ice magic as she glides by on the frigid northern winds.

Really enjoyed wrapping this one up in a single drawing session. I’m becoming much more comfortable using on the iPad Pro for churning out work quickly. Looking forward to sharing more seasonal art before winter comes to a close :)

WIP of this commission request from a 5 year old. I was asked to paint a “snake bug” creature. Head of a bug, body of a snake, and it lives in lava. Very Metroid-esque

Holiday themed sketchbook drop!

A few gestural character studies and semi-refined character designs in this one! All sketches created in Procreate using an Apple Pencil and iPad Pro. I may try to refine some of these further before Christmas Day :) Hope everyone is looking forward to a Merry Christmas!

1. Reindeer girl offering to guide your way tonight
2. Rag doll with her sugar plum fairy pal
3. Marshmallow gal enjoying a soak in steaming hot cocoa
4. A Sugar Plum(p) Fairy with a peppermint theme. Took inspiration from a glass of assorted Christmas hard candies.
5. More reindeer girl character studies. Thought about designing Santa’s whole team
6. An unfinished painting of two chickadees cuddling among the Christmas lights and icy wind. Will definitely return to this one
