By mid-August, many pest populations are at their summer peak.

Yellowjacket and hornet colonies can be larger and more defensive, ants are still actively foraging, and spiders are beginning to become more noticeable as we get closer to fall.

This is also a good time to walk around your home and look for nests, gaps around doors and windows, overgrown vegetation, and other places pests may be using for food, shelter, or access.

A little prevention in August can mean fewer unwanted visitors this fall.
